The Spice Souq

The wind bade adieu to the sea waves after their miles-long journey together. Parting was painful. She promised to bear the salt with her till the end. The waves lashed and lamented. Unable to stand the pain, she whooshed away from the beach. Here and there she roved in search of a balm to ease her pain.

Flowing eastwards, the moment she stepped on to a street, the young aroma caught hold of her. She refused to let go of her dear salt. But her protest couldn’t last longer and the aroma soon nested on her and laden her with his richness. The Spice Souq thus did a magical make-over to the wind that made way through it.

A passage lined with shops selling a wide range of herbs marks the identity of Spice Souq. Product Placards with details of different combinations of herbs matching it with some maladies considered incurable, turns heads to them. Live smoking of herbs in the common areas escalates the urge to try them atleast for once.
